route fixed?

Hi,

I am planing an Africa trip the other way around and on the other side. For reasons see my post here .
Any chance of changing your mind, or any good arguments why it should be that way and that route?

I am prepared to do it on my own, but would very much like to find a partner to share this experience and for making this adventure more secure and easier.

Timewise I am planing to leaver the End of this year. I will decide on a set date depending on the finding of travel partners. If I find no one, I will leave between end of october to beginning of november.

Interested?

North to South Jan '09

Hi Neilds,
The wife and myself are doing the West coast North to South. Expected to be jumping into Morocco around the 3rd week of Jan. We have no plans as to where, what and when but would be good to swap any info with you on the way, state of the roads, things to look out for, political situation etc. and maybe meet up as we will be passing each other.

Migo, if you change your mind about your route, could maybe ride a bit of the way together.

Africa South to North

Hi
It would be great to meet up somewhere on our travels I'll keep in touch best I can on the road The rout is very similar to yours so it should be possible around Camaroon or at least around that neck of the woods. Your trip looks great Iwill maybe try that next if this trip works out ok. By the sounds of your website you could use a lowered seat try a Sargent seat there the dog's dangleys.
Good luck with your prep and stay in touch
Cheers Neil

Scotland from the Cape

Just a quick update our departure date is 5th January.
If any one knows of a good place to stay in Cape Town for two or three days ( biker friendly ) that would be great.

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive.
