Using a MX helmet on the road

Anyone do it ?? Are they as safe ?

I used an Arai Tour-X while I was in South America with the visor and my goggles.. It was a pain with goggles on, they dont really fit on it properly.
The idea was the used tinted goggles in the hot day then change them for clears when the sun goes down..
So, im thinking of getting a proper MX helmet.. What dya think ??

Now I haven't been on a big trip using an MX helmet but I do use mine quite a lot.
I'm off tomorrow for a few days and that's all I'll wear.
Plus goggles of course but no visor and it all fits nice and snug.
And the MX helmet is much lighter than a "normal" helmet.

Ted, there's another thread about it here - http://www.horizonsunlimited.com/hub...t-helmet-37791 and good point made there, that I forgot but is very true, when it rains it hurts.
