Have a heart fellas!

Why don't you lot leave Herbert alone? Why not invite him over for the weekend and help him? Let him try out your bike (you know he won't wheelie it).

That's really unkind. But I have also ridden a Kwacka ...:blushing:

Even the Government realise that speeding isn't really a huge problem. If they did you can be damn sure that the fine for speeding would be far more than £60.

Just out of curiosity, how much time do you spend looking at your speedometer while driving or riding? If you are absolutely sure you have never, ever broken a speed limit then you are a danger to other road users as you are clearly not focussing on the more important aspects of being on the road.

I have never ever broken the law. We must all do what the law says. I am an incredibly safe driver - it's others who have caused my 4 accidents by doing illegal moves. Whats this 3rd world tosh? Put all lawbreakers in prison and the rest of us could have nice jobs locking them up at night. Well ask a silly question......:nono:

Well, John,

If you put it in your public profile it doesn't exactly take a clairvoyant.:eek3: ..whoops, difficult word, carefull with the spelling unless you want to be slaughtered by The Meek...

What an exchange, looking forward to more...and No, I don't really want to end up in the firing line....

Bu the way, Herbie, If you are such a superior driver by not spedding, and I, with my 20 years of being between 10% and 100% over the speedlimit am such a danger to public safety and generally speaking public enemy No. 1, How come I end up in the middle of a five car pile up and nothing is touching me or my car? How come I have never had an accident, bike or box? By the way, I'm driving about 30,000miles a year...

Oh, forgot to say, I'm speeding, therefore I must be a better driver....

What great fun all this opinionated drivel can be!

But I was forced to leave after bashing the Bishop.

Very brave of you to admit to such a distasteful habit .
But it has confirmed my suspicions about you .

"I will visit you soon in Canada and would like to meet your good wife."

Come on over old chap ,I would be delighted to team you up with the "ex" , I somehow think that you two deserve one another .
But if that doesn't appeal to you, you should come over anyway ,I have a damn fine shotgun , a shovel and lots of land out back .

Not surprised it's an "ex" wife. Your shooty gun impresses no-one, as it's a rather juvenile threat. My 10 bore will bring you to heel. But dig away with that shovel after you measure yourself.!!

As your wife has gone, I think it's your only option ,my friend! I will pray for you...[quote=Dodger][quote=Herbert Meek]

All very funny

All thats very funny.

If you want my two-pennys worth then here goes .....

Not all speeding is bad, but lots of speeding is. Unfortuntaley people who choose to speed in a bad way are using the same right of freedom as those who choose to speed in a good way. i.e. the Law is wrong, I am right.

Hence I do not think it can be a simple idea of speeding is right or wrong. Driving is either good or bad.

But, as for cameras. Well, its not like you are not told the speed limits. You make the choice. But I think the fact that getting caught speeding 4 times in the UK can result in a ban. I don't mind reasonable fines, but a ban would result in me loosing my job. And in certain circumstances this could lead to a spiral out of control.... hence a bad thing for society not good.

Not sure what I'm trying to say, but as long as the meek do not inherit the earth I'll be happy :)

You deserve a ban - a long one for endangering the lives of people. The meek will inherit the earth because we obey the law and report people like you for illegal activities. And you say you are a Deity!:cool4: God help you my son.

Herbert Meek scandal!!!

Excerpt from the Maidstone Bugle dated 1st September 2006:

Mr Herbert Meek, AKA Walter Mitty, a resident of the Maidstone Home for the Deluded and Bewildered, appeared in court today charged with 3 counts of Bishop Bashing and 1 count of obstructing traffic by refusing to proceed at a speed even approaching 30mph.

Mr Meek, a former Dominican monk and special constable, pleaded not guilty on the grounds of "diminished responsibility". After being sentenced to 2 years at the local lunatic asylum, where he will be making soft toys, Meek said "I don't know what all the fuss is about! It's my Bishop and I'll bash it if I want to! As for the ludicrous charge of obstructing traffic, I was travelling slowly because I saw a family of pink elephants trying to cross the road and I didn't want to run into them!"

Never broken the law eh, Herbie:innocent:!!

Bashing my Bishop means I hit him - nothing else. I was a little drunk and took a swing at him.

:mad2: My name is Herbert, not Herbie. I am not bewildered at all. I have never broken the law. You think you'll upset me if you insult me - but dream on baby! I will pray for you Delboy cos you need all the help you can get. I see you've got one of those manly Africa Twins. But that doesnt make you a real MAN. For that I suggest the Enfield bullet with all those lovely vibrations. But I will accept a ride on your bike and see just how masculine you are - dont hide behind a great bike - show them what you're made of , Big Boy. 20 years in the monastery means I have a lot to give - so watch out! That nutter who writes in Latin also got angry and wanted to kill me - I tried to make friends with him and he reached for his gun. A right silly billy that one. Hiding out in those Canadian forests has done his head in, and sickened his wife. She cleared off and took his best bike.

I'll be back

Father H Meek. (SJ)
