Spanish motorcycle insurance
Hi
Does anyone know of an insurance company in Europe that offers motorcycle insurance that is not more than the value of my bike 'BMW 1150GS' ...! I pay £150 per annum [fully comp] with european breakdown in the UK but am struggling to get a quote for less than €850 in Spain.

I use these for one of my bikes - https://www.pontgrup.com/. One important point (and this may have changed in recent years so it's worth checking), almost all of the bike insurance groups here will not insure a second rider for a bike. My husband also uses my bikes at times so it was important for us to have us both insured to ride all the bikes. As I say, it could have changed now.

I'd be interested to know how much a spaniard is charged in the UK. after all the stupid hoops you must jump through as a UK-er in Spain, I ended up stretching the wording on my UK insurance policy. Very important not to crash if you take that option though...
an 1150GS is just a (heavy) lump of metal though. and if you're really saying it's worth less than €850 (what have you done to it!?!?), then just don't crash and ride on UK plates/insurance. I know quite a few non-UK people who take this option in the UK. it's terrible I know, spawn of the devil and all that. PS. I note you're not saying 'hey, I'm not paying €1 for a  in Spain! I was paying £4 in the UK. this has to be wrong. can't someone come to my aid.."
