Share your Chai recipes/blends ????

Would anyone like to share their home blend recipe for Chai ????

Here in Australia it is not very common and can sometimes be difficult to come by. I am guessing that most countries have their own common blends and I am keen try mix ingredients and give them a go

Looking forward to input from fellow HUBBers

Glen

Maasai Chai

In Kenya recently had Chai with some Maasai.

Apparently Chai is a Swahili word but in Kenya it doesn't normally contain any spices.

It was 2 parts water to 1 part whole milk brought to the boil then 1 teaspoon of loose Kenyan tea leaves and 2 teaspoons of sugar per cup were added and the whole lot simmered for 5 minutes before straining into mugs.

Thanks for the prompt reply

The commercial blend I have found here is funnily enough called "Mr Chai" traditional blend

It has Cinnamon, Black Tea, Ginger, Nutmeg, Cadamom, Star Anise, Cloves, Bay Leaf & Black Pepper

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
