protecting plastics when using throwovers?

Hi Guys, Anyone know a good way to protect your bodywork plastics etc when using throw-over luggage, any suggestions appreciated, cheers. Greg

For my old magnetic tankbag, i just used some cloth underneath to stop the tank getting too scratched so i guess you could maybe do something similar with throwovers.

Have alook at this Motrax stuff, worked OK for me. Kind of slimy rubber mesh matting - could be used for other things ....................

Greg,
I do some PT work for my local dealer putting the new bikes together.
Some of them come with a plastic wrap to protect various parts of the bike.
After removing it from the new bike, I've put it on my tank to protect to
prevent scratching from the tank bag. Best of all, it's free. Talk to your
local dealer about some they're throwing away.

If you go into your local Morrisons store you should find some big rubbery non-slip sheets for about £3. Same as the ones Oxford sell in bike shops for 4x the price. Just cut it down to cover the area your bags sit on.
I also apply liberal amounts of gaffer tape to any area where bungee straps cross the paint work. Can be a bit of a bugger to get off, but if your going on a long trip it's worth doing.

Simple!

Just get some cling-film out of the kitchen. Sorted
