Best "travelling" songs.

What are your favourite songs that are about or remind you of travelling ?

What songs really bring back memories of freedom, fun and the romance about being on the road ?

I love a band called "The John Butler Trio". They can really make me think im somewhere else.

This one for example.

YouTube - John Butler Trio - Zebra (Taratata Fr3)

I really urge you to look through his other songs on there. Hes a fantastic guitarist and a total hippy too

The list is so long....

We saw Alabama 3 a few years ago at a small club in Birmingham UK. In their words, they play 'sweetprettycountryacidhousemusicallnightlong'.

Hi,

I can think of a few, this reminds me of my time in the middle east - moby runon

This one reminds me of Ras Al Had in Oman, at a critical moment on a windsurfing trip! - We're not gonna make it ...

Dan...

Radar love is another Golden Earring favourite that makes my riding rather frantic.

Bob Seger - Roll Me Away

Maybe its just because I saw Bob Seger play at the Bay City Rollair Rink like 38 years ago - or because I know where you'll be 12 hours out of Mackinaw City.

Dodger, thanks for mentioning Twilight Zone! The early days of MTV.... I'm stuck in Bogota and this brings back such great memories. Really brightened my day.

Of course, there's Sammy Hagar's, I can't drive 55....

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive.
