Musical air horn fitment !!

Anyone ever tried these on a bike ?? I can't imagine anything better to bring a smile to an irrate African customs official..

La cucharacha is my personal choice but "dixie" Dukes of hazard style would work too..

Quality La Cucaracha Musical Air Horns * NEW * on eBay (end time 06-Aug-10 08:39:33 BST)

Yep, I had a set of those on one of my Burgmen Ted. They work well but are illegal in many countries - and NO, you don't need to use a relay when installing.

After hearing the the racket from the freakin car alarms used as horns south of the US all the way down, I would welcome the sound of some nice air horn tunes

Could work Ted. Some years ago I was having a hard time at a border in West Africa - bag searches, demands for money, everything is "not possible" etc when they came across a personal alarm - the sort where you pull a pin out and it starts screeching.

I showed them how it worked and then gave it to the chief official. I was stamped through in seconds and as I walked back to the bike I could hear it going off again and again.

Best "facilitator" ever was a Polaroid camera though. Taking pictures of the various minor officials that you come across and giving them the print eased loads of tricky "negotiations".

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
