Kaiyama petroglyph

Hi Grant!
I was just reading over your article in Cycle Canada about your trip up the West Harrison FSR, B.C. Canada. I'm very interested in seeing the kaiyama petroglyph at Doctor's point, but so far yours is the only mention i can find on the internet. I have a backroad mapbook of southwestern BC as well, and kaiyama is there on the map, but there is no road or access shown or mentioned. Could you let me know how you got to the glyph, or point me in the right direction?

Much appreciated,
BC Tripper

Wish I could remember but that was 1983 or so! I originally found out about them in a book - don't ask - I found about Pemberton and the area history.

Try writing the Pemberton HU Community - they may know, or the Pemberton Town Council.

good luck, and have a great ride! It's a LOT different now...

Hi,
I had a look for them last night and I finally got some luck on Ask Jeeves where it suggested the alternative spelling of 'kayama petroglyph'
There's a bit about them there, I didn't read much, but perhaps you can have a look yourself.

John

PS Wht is the 'FSR' in 'West Harrison FSR,' I wonder?

FSR = Fire Service Road

Actually i think FSR is "forest service road". At least in B.C. it is. And thanx for the tips! I really appreciate it!
