itchy feet are driving me crazy!

Ok, so this is my problem:
I'm stuck at home with an extremly bad case of itchy feet and no possible way of getting away for a while in the near future. To top it I've got a bunch of hard but really inportant exams to get throught and everyone around me is feeling the same strain.
It s a really frustrationg situation which is driving me stur crazy and really getting me down:(

So my question to you:
What do you do when your stuck with itchy feet?
:scooter:
I'd appreciate any advice :helpsmilie:

What to do

Spend some time reading travel stories on sites like this. Start putting together a travel pack....speak to people in a foriegn language....listen to shortwave radio to hear strange languages. Then pass the exams and go on that trip.

Read the other folks travel stories and decide what part of the world you are drawn to then start making plans for your own trip. Talk (email, bulletin boards, etc.) to the others that have traveled where you want to go. Buy the maps (important) and as you read, make notations on the maps of things to see, places to stop, roads to use, good/bad border crossings, etc. When the "real" time comes you will be prepared and ready! Worked for me. :=)

I like to take smaller cheaper trips in-between. Its no subsitute for getting away but it helps.

Im going to a HU meet in Spain or portugal this year to try out my new bike and kit. Gives me something to plan and look forward to in the long run.

Go away for weekend spurts.Grab your tent, some supplies, and 1 small bag of gear.Get on your bike and say this weekend i'm going 400 miles to the north.
Next weekend go 400 miles to the south and so on...Take your books and material to study a little while your away.Try and do this as often as you can until you are able to take a rtw trip.I think this should take some of the itchyness away.
Have fun,and good luck with your studies...

Hi everyone, just wanted to say a quick thanks for the tipps.
I wrote my last exsam yesterday, I know I've already passed two exsams (English & German) with top grades and all I'm waiting for now is the maths results. In 3 weeks time I'm going to Tuscany
So I hope you all have a great weekend :thumbup1:
