I went 'Gold'

I spend a lot of my time at work browsing this site, I have met a lot of good helpful people from it as well as clashing with a few, which got me 2 infraction notices and 8 points

A reply from a fellow traveller to a problem can save you money and time, and I thought that apart from keeping me nearly sane, I thought I'd give a bit back, thus, I decided to take a 'Gold' membership, being on the HU site is a bit like being in a motorcycle club and ask yourself, instead of what I can take out of it, what can I put back? even as a contributing member it helps keep the site running.
Where would we be without HU ?
I just hope I don't 'hit the jackpot' and get a points ban!!.

Same with me, I was using the site so much I thought I ought to step up and make a contribution.

Thumbs up Gold is good

I have been gold every year for a while now, as well as spending a fair amount of time helping out on the HUBB, and hosting travelers and running four mini-meetings. It's all been great fun.

What I have learnt is that Grant and Susan are ice-bergs. You will only see a very small part of what they have to do to run this website.

Regards

Nigel in NZ

I agree! Thought I'd go gold just for the info and help I found just at a click away. Think there`s hardly a Stone unturned here!

Cheers Gav.

New to Horizons Unlimited?

New to motorcycle travelling? New to the HU site? Confused? Too many options? It's really very simple - just 4 easy steps!

Horizons Unlimited was founded in 1997 by Grant and Susan Johnson following their journey around the world on a BMW R80G/S.

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
