India, Mumbai to London

Hi there! Last year we drove from London along the Silk Route to Shenzhen.4 months 28000kms. Just the most best thing we have ever done!!
Now we would like to try and drive from Northern India (5-6wks)to Nepal(10days), Tibert/China (2 wks), back through Kryrg, Uzbek, Turkmen, Iran, Azerbaijan, Georgia, and back to London in a total of +/- 4.5 months. we are finding it extremely challenging making the timing and weather work for us. To miss the heat in India and snow in the high mountains. Are we asking too much? has anyone done this? Any advice would be simply wonderful of how to make the itinerary and weather work
this is my first time on the forum and very grateful for the opportunity! - See more at: Caravanistan • View topic - India to China, the Stans to Iran, Azerbaijan Georgia to LDN

India to Europe via Tibet/Stans

Hello Jill,

Nice reading about your plans! We would like hearing more from you
as we have the same intention. From NAVO we heard that crossing in 2015 is only possible from second half of April, due to new protocols of the Chinese.

Our plan is as follows: We are staying in India until March or April, crossing into Nepal and from there into Tibet/China to Kyrgyzystan. From there we would go into Oezbekistan - Kazachstan - Azerbaidjan - Armenia - Georgia? - Turkey.

At the moment we are in contact with another couple with a car and 4 persons, also we have had via the Hubb some info from interested motordrivers.

Please let us know if you are interested.

Where are you by the way - maybe we can meet somewhere?

adventurous greetings -

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
