Greneral Bike Preperation - Hot weather

I'm heading off to Jordan on my water cooled Africa Twin, normally the cooling mix is 50/50 but for hot regions do other riders change the mix ? the manual stated upto 70% anti freeze for extreme cold but nothing mentioned for hot climates. I guess this is one thing the beemer riders need not worry about !!

Cheers

As you probably know, water is a better cooling

Some beemer riders do have to...
I decided to try Evan NPG+ in my K1200RS before I went across Saudi Arabia, Jordan etc. I was also interested in dealing with the high temperatures in heavy, city traffic before I set off.

Discernible differences? None. Problems? None.

I quite like the fact that it's a once only job and especially that it won't boil over; so I'm now contemplating putting it in my CRF450 too. If anyone else has had experience using it in bikes, I'd be interested to hear any feedback.

Not sure about the no pressure system.

Bike cooling

Thanks guys for the feed back, I'll give the ww, coolant and water mix a go...

I have read about water wetter and race engines, I think Burton (UK engine builder) uses it...
If I understood correctly when placing water under pressure the point which it boils is increased ... ideal really.

Thanks Matt

Never A Problem

I have never had a problem with coolant mix and overheating on my road bikes or motocross bikes even in race conditions in the desert. Only used the localy available coolant at 50% 50% in my used bikes and the standard mix that was in my new bikes from the factory.
Cheers
