Going to Europe in 1953 on a motorbike

Thank you so much for sharing all this.

Although slightly before I started on 2 wheels (officialy ) in 1958 it is all so reminiscent of days gone by. The comments and the contrasting modern photos enhance the feeling and effect, as do the modern bikes.

PS.My younger brother just blew some of his retirement pay out on a Triumph 21 (350cc twin. Non-bath tub, for those who know). I get ride reports of every trip and sit here living the memories - and feel homesick as he rides the West Sussex/East Hampshire lanes I grew up on!
