Hello there.

Ive done France a few times but only touring rather than greenlaning. Couple of pointers;

1) Take all your original bike / licence docs - licence, insurance, MOT, log book etc and double check your insurance will cover you to ride abroad. Your insurance certificate should state if it is valid in Europe and this will be sufficient if asked for by the local plod. If it doesnt say this, get a doc from your insurer which states that you have european cover.

Make sure you have breakdown cover for Europe as well and take docs for this.

2) When I go, I stay in Hotel Formule 1 hotels (just google it). Loads all over the place. Usually on outskirts of town so not great for pub crawling but if you dont mind this then they are dirt cheap (£25 per room per night sleeps 3 and are clean with good parking.

Ive just posted a message up for anyone interested in a trip to France in May this year. Might see you out there...!!!!:thumbup1:
