What would you like to see in a travel blog?

So i've spent the past few years planning for a trip and taking smaller trips to see how I get on with riding a bike for long periods of time and now i can see the light at the end of the tunnel and have set a departure date for my idolized trip. One of the things that has kept me sane over the years has been reading other traveler's blogs and so in returning a favour i plan to set up my own website for people to read and enjoy my trip. So i would like to know what things you'd like to see in a blog.

Hi Ali
First of all, where are you heading, for how long, and on what bike? My preferences in a blog that keeps me interested are a reasonable amount of pictures, local prices for fuel, accommodation, food etc. And one of my major gripes is some blogs have print so small you have to squint to read it, and I really hate reading too much from a PC screen!

For me it's pictures of interesting people, and little stories about life's ups and downs. Pictures of landscapes or bikes are not for me, neither is long accounts of which road let where etc. Just personal opinion!

For me, any and all photos, recordings or videos that would give me a taster of the place being visited.

I enjoy reading about the places to see and why, but I don't want a tourist guide: it's nice to get a feel for the personal journey that the writer is also experiencing.

Certainly for me, any trips, especially our only long trip to date were a deeply influential expeience on a personal level and it's nice to get a feel for how that process takes place in others: the moments of importance, the moments of elation/sadness, the epiphanies etc....

Pictures of course, but for me the most interesting is a blog written by someone sharing their passion, giving me an inkling into their reasons for travelling.

So I'd say, ask yourself what you're hoping for in your trip, why you want to go, and then write so we find out.

Well for me being dyslexic,

I like to see
1) route, location etc
2) bike & tech stuff ie panners or bag extras fitted to bike etc including tools parts.
3) lotst of photos about the places you stop meet ppl
4) accom details email accom price etc
5) pers equip cloaths & why choose them 1s

Sometimes it's better to say nothing at all . There are days when you'll just get on the bike and ride through scenery that's exactly the same as yesterday and tomorrow. I can't read blogs where we get a page a day regardless of if the Martians invaded, he repaired eight punctures with nothing but a pack of chewing gum and he won the lottery, or if he had chips for tea and they were a little too salty.
