Deserts of the Earth

Exploring the deserts of the Earth.

I saw this DVD in a book store and bought it.
It's by Michael Martin and I have seen his name on the HUBB but no one has said any thing about this DVD.
6 hours of riding a GS around the deserts of the world.

No one here seen it :confused1:

I did buy it.
It is as good as Mondo Enduro and Terra Circa.
Its just that I have seen Michael Martin's name on the HUBB and no one has said a word about this DVD.
I did a google and he has a book out also, and he is on tour in Europe.

If you click on the Amazon link on the side bar on this site it helps the HUBB

Grrr

Darn it! I have just made a budget to make sure I actually make my next trip this summer and now yet another DVD/book that's a must-get. I risk staying here viewing/reading and slipping on towards year's end still at home. Grrr.

I wasn't aware that he has also published in English. I've seen several of his slide shows in Munich. The first one was years ago after he - or rather the two of them - had completed the deserts of Africa.

Of course his (live) slide shows are even more fascinating than a book or dvd will ever be. As far as I know he is living in Munich and has been riding the deserts since he was 16. Then on a buzz-bike

Wrong format

Sadly the DVD is "left hand drive". That is it doesn't work on UK DVD players. Pity, need to check if mine is compatable or not. Linzi.

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
