Competition...win great prizes!!!!

Inspired by the (sometimes alarming) responses to bikewithmike (yeah, yeah he was a fool) thread ages ago... :stupid:
http://www.horizonsunlimited.com/hub...ure-movie-1509.

Firstly the prizes...
Funniest male entry... a free beer if I catch ya on the road.
Any Female entry... as many free beers as u like (in situ) :taz:.

The question is...
Judging, moralising or characterising against someone because of their:

race= racism
sex= chauvinism
religion= theism
travel preferences (no matter how misguided) = {{{ fill the gap }}}

("Travel nazi" will not be accepted for entry as unimaginative and overused)
:laugh:

Yeah, whatever happened to motorbikewithmike ?

I would go for...

Vehicleism. But does that include walkers (are feet vehicles?).

And, having my pedantic head on ready to start phoning US lawyers for work later today (aren't I the lucky one!), Chauvin was actually the nationalist who first said "My country, right or or wrong". Prejudging on grounds of sex is simply sexism.

sexism... lol

What is chauvinism? Sexism makes sense, does this picking on my grasp of the lingo make you a semanticist? :confused1:

Here'sa few of mine....

Adventurism? That would cover the guys who reckon anyone that stays in a backpackers with A/C, doesn't leave th tarmac on their bikes and won't eat deep fried ants is a wuss....

Scottism... ( as in the kiwi who discovered the antarctica)... might cover those guys that reckon they are the first to do everything and hate anyone that turns up in the same place as them...

Jungism... those guys that reckon the more luxurious travellers have the wrong personality altogether and should just stay home....

Jesusism... may describe the guys who act as though the best time they have ever had was such a trial, and oh such a sacrifice that maybe it ahs saved al mankind and they are the one earthly reporesentation of the all knowing Great White Traveller God and all the other dudes out there are either heretics telling second hand stories or mere travel prophetes mimicking the true saviour of all foot weary explorers...lol

PissOnYourPostism... haven't we all met someone; just when we're in the middle of nowhere and lonely as all **** after spending weeks of repairs and retracing our route; who despises your presence there because they had presumed they were the only whiteman ever to set foot in that neck of the woods...

Pioneerism....

Cpt B - I hope you didn't think I was picking on your grasp of the lingo; there are so many lingos I have little or no grasp of that I would never cease being picked on if I opened myself to that! Cauvinism is a form of nationalism.

It might be worth quoting, although I can't remember where from, that "patriotism is the love of ones own country, nationalism is the hatred of someone else's country". I've met many patriots and enjoyed them showing me their country and why they love it. I've met a few nationalists, and I made my excuses and left.

Back on topic: how about "hairy chestist"? As in "I've got a hairier chest than you because I went further from civilisation, and I carried my GS on my back in a rucksack, and I had no shoe on one foot, having had to hack the other foot off with a rusty hacksaw blade after the snake bite"?

I've just read this before pressing "submit" and the number of typos was incredible (probably still missed one or two); is this poetic justice for a pedant?
