Can i commit?

Hi guys,

I have come up with a conundrum. I am in the midst of trying to organise
some magazines that will publish articles on the trans Africa trip (four months, s.a to france) i am doing in January 2008. After a first real preparation trip (700km in 2 days in south African mountains) i feel like there is little time for writing/photographing during the regular trip day.

Do you think that it is possible to still have a safe, comfortable and enjoyable journey and be committed to a regular magazine article without taking away from the enjoyment of the trip. I am doing this journey with my father and as such it is very important to me that this does not take away from his or our experience, but at the same time i feel i have the skills and necessary equipment to write for interesting travel magazines and show people real Africa.

I want to and know i can help by showing others Africa through magazine publicity and raising funds for my charity but do not want to spoil the trip by committing to something that might take away from the experience, or even worse, ruin the quality of the writing/reporting which would simply viod the idea totally.

Does anyone have any words of wisdom?

many thanks
mike

Us Dads are full of good advice!

Hi there kiddo,
being a father to 4, I will suggest You to do what I always tell my kids to do, when in doubt....! Ask Your Dad! I seriously think his opinion could be of help to You.
Have a brilliant trip (I would love to do something similar whith one or more of my children. A fathers dream for sure)! - = ----
Cheers .... Dan
