Do you know what this beetle is?
looks like yours may have gone from Scotland to Mali where I saw this little fellow crawling on my tent. Its back opened up, wings came out and it flew off making more noise than a bumble bee on full power!

My mum once rode off with one in her helmet. That freaked her out when she got down the road! Note to self, don't leave helmet lying in the grass!
