Question Buying/Registering MC in Germany or Italy

I am a Canadian looking to purchase a MC like mine in Europe for extended travels. This is to avoid shipping my bike and the costs. Likely will buy in Germany with Italy another possibility.

What do I have to do as a Canadian citizen, non resident in either of those 2countries to register a legal purchase of a MCthere and register the bike in my name for travel over there?

Is it possible and if so how?
