Buying a motorbike in Turkey???
Hi there,
O'm looking to purchase a R25 BMW from a guy in TUrkey, I want to buy it and ride across Europe. I have been told a number of things about whether as a foreigner without an address and residency in Turkey I cannot buy the bike, does anyone have any experience in this? I hold a Polish and Australian passport. Please help! Paul

can't help with this one other than to say maybe you should contact the Horizons community in Turkey, I bet one of those guys know the ins and outs, they were very helpfull to me when i needed somewhere to service the bike in Istanbul, search web site to find the community pages and follow the links. http://www.ommriders.com/ As far as I know you should have a permenant address to issue the Turkish V5(registration document) called "ruhsat" in your name.
