UK members: need little help with ordering toys

Hello

I placed this posting before in the wrong section (route planning) and so I have to put it in here again - sorry.

I'm in the preparations of my trip to Morocco.

Instead of giving pens to the children in Morocco I plan to buy some very small and lightweight toys.
I found very cute and colorful little lizards sold in bulks here: Bulk Buy Lizards , from Party Delights

But unfortunately Partydelights want to have £20 for the shipping to Switzerland (while the shipping within UK is less than £2).

Is there any HUBB member living in UK willing to help? Maybe I could order it to your address in UK (it's already paid when you get it) and you just have to put it in a padded envelope or something similar and forward it to me?
Of course I'll send you the money for the postage via PayPal.

Since you open the package from Partydelights and put the plastic lizards in the envelope you can approve that there are no drugs, weapons, bombs or any other strange things envolved *g*.

It's one of those unique once-a-lifetime chances to be a Lizard-Turntable; don't miss that

If this fame is not enough of course you can keep some lizards for your children as well!

All I wrote sounds funny, but it's not a joke. It's serious and I'm very glad if a nice UK member could help. Thanks a lot!

Wolfgang

Wolfgang, good-on-you for thinking of putting a smile on the moroccan kids faces, I should think that you will soon use up one of those packs!

I have looked at uk postage -

http://sg.royalmail.com/portal/rm/Pr...earchAgain.jsp

And dependent on the weight looks like about £6.29 ish

If you send me a pm with your e-mail address I will send you my uk home address, and sort it when they arrive
cheers, Brian

Hey Brian, that's so nice - thanks!

I'm not even sure that it's a good idea to give them toys because of waking expectiation. The next biker coming along without might get a stone on the head *ggg*.
So I decided to have only very small and cheap things like the toys in the grab box at the dentist. The advantage is also that I can carry more of those... I don't know how many hundreds (or thousands) of kids we'll meet during the trip, he he.

But anyhow, you get a PM with my mail address immediately. At least I also can tell the children about the long journey their lizards had...

Thanks again,

Wolfgang

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
