Who,s most corrupt in Africa?
This is not ment to be a competiton, rather an awareness/info-thread on what to expect.
Who are currently the 3 top/least corrupt countries in Africa based on your experiences? Thanks.

Do not forget Mail in the unfortunate top ten...if supplies of the central government are rare, local officials really become creative.

Morocco - Not corrupt at all. Great cops.
Mauritania - Not corrupt. But don't get caught carrying booze. Senegal - Very corrupt indeed (if they catch you commiting a traffic offence) Mali - nope Burkina - nope Ghana - not corrupt but very slow at borders. Togo - nope Benin - some corrupt bastards on borders Niger - nope Nigeria - Amazing! North of Nigeria at least uncorrupt and very helpful and friendly cops. Ethiopia - no Kenya - cheating bastards Tanzania - so far so good Uganda - lovely cops and border people

I forgot Chad!
The cops at the airport (I flew me and bike from Chad to Ethiopia) say "that'll be 5000" as they hand back your stamped passport. The correct response is "No it won't." They will then wave you on. Apart from the corruption, Chad (N'djamena anyway) is a bloody awful place. The worst country I've ever been to. Simon
