im travelling on a motorbike through africa. i am planing to go via niger - nigeria - cameroon.

does anyone know, wheter it is possible to cross the niger - nigeria border at diffa. is there a bridge or a boat operating?

any new on security in northern nigeria and northern cameroon?

any answer would be greatly apprechiated!

I crossed the Niger-Nigeria border between Maradi and Katsina in November 2000. No problems, no hassles. No problems riding through Nigeria to Cameroon. No problem at Ekok border and in Cameroon. Problems only when you're in the wrong place at the wrong time. Try to do good timing.
