Stuck in Aswan - please help!!!!!!
Guys......
We are currently en route from uk to Malawi on a charity exped to deliver 2 ambulances to a medical centre in aid of AMECA. We have hit a large stumbling block as there is now no vehicle ferry running from Aswan to Wadi Halfa until the 20 sept. This puts us way outside our timescale for delivering the ambulances and also means some of the volunteers would be unable to complete the trip - leaving the success of the entire trip hanging in the balance ..... We have spoken to numerous contacts a Including the brothers who seem to run all the shipping. Does anyone out there know if it's possible to charter a private boat or know if it possible to drive down the coast road or further south of Wadi halfa? Any information would be greatly appreciated - many thanks in advance. Africa Challenge

You might check if the ferry from Suez to Suakin (via Jeddah) is still running. If it does you have to check if you can get visa for Saudi...
It's not possible to do the crossing overland and you can expect some problems anyway after your visit to Israel.
