NO GO hotel in Ouarzazate, Marocco.
Hi all,
If you are in Ouarzazate, wich is a nice relaxed city, DO NOT stay in the hotel Es Salam alongside the main road. My camera got stolen out of my locked room! Probaly while taking a shower. You have to ask the key for the shower at the counter so they then knew... The managment was not helpfull at all and they could even refuse the police to do a search in the hotel! On top of all this the atmosphere in the hotl switched during they evening. Females prostitutes come in and the place doubles as a 'bordel'. Really there is no way to know this when you arrive in the afternoon or early evening. Then it is a quite nice place as stated in the Lonely Planet. Besides all this I do like Marocco and think of Ouarzazate as a nice place. Exeptions are found everywhere... Safe travels to everyone! Pieter.
