same question again and again, I am planning to cross mozambique on my bike in october 2002, from north(malawi border) to south(south africa).
any advice is apreciated, specially about the mine issue and routes to be taken

Hey Ramin - same question, same answer - Mocambique is absolutely fantastic, beautiful, friendly, interesting - challenging pistes, great architecture, welcoming people - especially if you speak a bit of portuges. I'll mail you route details - too long to post.

may be tou're already there. If so on the mine issue stick to the well worn tracks especially in the river floods plains those recent floods displaced mines as well as people. I worked out there for two years and some nice contacts between Nova Mambone and Vilankulos with work shop facilities and access to the islands which are simply stunning. email for details
