Medical & technical advaice

Hi Everyone

I am a diabetic type 1 -- depending on insulin pens every day.
(insulin that needs to be at refrigerator temperature).

I ll like to make a long trip for long time with BMW1200gs/gs adv'.

I like to know:
if there is any possibility to connect any MINI REFRAGERTUR to the cigarette lighter plug that exist already on this bike, OR i ll need to do different electricity connection

tank you for yours :helpsmilie:

Two things you should check on: the amperage draw of the mini fridge and if your alternator (and the fuse on your 12v jack) has the capacity to keep up with it. I imagine you will need to carry an AC adapter for non-travel time. The other important question is about the fridge and its capacity to cool. Most of those electronic fridges only have the ability to cool a certain number of degrees below ambient temperature. You need to make sure that the fridge can keep your insulin at the right temp if it is 80 or 90 degrees outside.
