Libyan visa in the Cairo
Does anybody knows if it is possible to get a Libyan transit visa in Egypt ?
I intend travel with a BMW GS from Egypt to Tunisia end of this month. Any tips or experience are welcome. Thks in advance

I have swiss motorciclist friend who tried to obtain the lybian visa in Cairo and they said to me that it's possible. Their email is cleeb@tiscali.ch
I think the point is: how much time to wait you have? To have the visa for Lybia in Italy I waited 5-6 weeks... Pietro

I travelled from Tunisia to Egypt two months ago: we hadn't any problem.
Two tips: 1) few kilos after the libyan border, at the first check point, turn right on a secondary road towards the sea. You'll reach an incredible fjord with a gorgeous view; 2) remember you need to register at a police station after few days you are in Lybia (triangular stamp): we didn't do that (we didn't know...) and we had problems to leave the country. Pietro, how about returning from Egypt? Did you go back from through Libia and Tunis?
And what route did you take through Libia... any difficulties regarding the vehicle in Libya or Egypt? Thanx....
