Guinea Conakry - Horizons Unlimited

Hello everyone!

I'm planning to go from Senegal to Côte d'Ivoire. Does anyone know more about the safety situation in Guinea? I red that there have been bandits from Libera operating on both sides of the border but i don't know if this information is up to date.
I'm planning to take the route Faranah-Kissidougou-Guéckédou-Nzérékoré.

Does anyone know about the condition of the road?

Good source for security info for that part of the world is http://www.reliefweb.int/w/rwb.nsf

You have to read between the lines, helps if you read french (but then that really helps seeing as most of west africa is french speaking...) and some of the reports are a bit overblown. But you can find at least some bad news there. On the other hand, most aid organizations there are expanding operations, not pulling out, so things can't be that bad...
