Guatemala Mud Slides? Anyone there now?
 

I heard a brief report yesterday about mud slides in Guatemala. Only managed to catch a few details of the report ... not sure how accurate.
Report stated the original slide buried a bus where 20 (??) or so people were trapped. A large group (maybe 30??) of rescuers from a near by village were in the process of digging the bus out, trying to get to survivors. Another big slide let go and apparently killed many of the rescuers ... and most probably those in the bus.

Anyone in the area have more up to date "Eyes On" news on this? I've seem many mud slides throughout Latin America in person, but never one involving such massive loss of life.

The Rainy season always seems to bring on these events. Be careful out there guys. (watch for falling rock too!)
