border crossings in central america

Although I have done them so many times I needed extra pages for my passport; does anyone know if it is legal to take a dirt bike on the back of my jeep to Nicaragua? I am concerned because I would be transporting 2 vehicles accoss the border, one being my jeep and the other one(dirt bike) is not titled.

I don't have an answer, but suggest checking RV traveler sites. They commonly haul another vehicle/toy along with them.

Sounds like you have a nice setup.

These guys might have an answer or be able to point you to a knowledgeable source: www.sanbornsinsurance.com

What do you mean not titled. Not in your name or something where no title document was issued.

titled vs certificate of origin

I'm from colorado and we do not title dirt bikes as they are for off-road use only. They use a certificate of origin.....it looks like a title but only has the dealers name and bike specs and serial numbers on it......owners are listed on the back.

Thanks for the ideas......'m calling Sanborn now and then RV sites (never thought about that) great ideas.
