Border between Mex and Guat closed
 

As of Feb 13th, the border between Mexico and Guatamala has been closed for an unconfirmed reason. It is supposed to be reopened on Monday, the 17th if all goes well.
I'm in Guatamala now and plan to head north next week. I will post if it isn't open by then.

I'm back in the states now. I had to crash the border as it was still closed on the 21st. No current info. If you have to cross Guatemala, the border with El Salvador is open. I was told by another traveler that it cost him 200 quetzals in fines to get out. That's about $28 US.

The boarder is open and there are no problems with it.
