Anyone in Nepal?

Is anyone in Nepal at the moment? We're planning to go there soon but don't want to get stuck there. As far as I can tell there is no problem travelling around at the moment but the report into the Royal Familys assination has only just been produced and my guess is it may be a little soon to say if its conclusions are generally accepted. How do things seem on the ground? Is it really still easy to move around the country on the main roads? Are we right in being fairly relaxed about the situation there?

Well, we went to Nepal anyway and it was fine. We travelled from Kathmandu to Pokhara and Pokhara to Lumbini using the Khatmandu road before crossing the border to India on 9 July. Everything was as normal despite reports of the Maoists upping the ante in their war with the government with more attacks on police posts away from the main roads. They have taken to letting off small bombs in Kathmandu but these have not caused any injuries as far as I know. Still, eventually one will but so far tourists have not been a target. Most importantly for us, it was easy to ride around the country. The situation is constantly changing though. East West Cargo(see the reply to my question on air freight from Bangkok to Kathmandu) can provide some advice on the latest situation from their contacts in Kathmandu.
