Steve, thanks for the post letting everyone know about this.

It's terribly sad to hear news about accidents and tragedies on the road, especially when we know the people. Some of you will have read Mike's story in the Travellers Stories section about his crash in China on his first attempt at the Globeride two years ago, and the medjet evac back to the US. And now again. Can't begin to understand how hard and frustrating that must be for Mike, on top of the difficulties he's having in his recovery, and with contiunued surgeries. Mike was planning on presenting at our Revelstoke Travellers Meeting, but I doubt that will be happening now. But you never know - he's a tough and resilient guy, let's hope he recuperates quickly and is able to make it!

Good to hear that Pawel is recuperating well.

Our heartfelt condolences to Dennis Bishop's' family, it's a terrible tragedy, one that will never really heal. Our best wishes and sympathy.

Very sad news, I had the same expereance crossing the Andes in Colombia, some big trucks use have of the way you are using in a both ways road , when they are doing a close turn. You allways have to drive very close to the write hand side in order to avoid this risk.
