On the Pac-safe, i have been using one for around 8 monts now, all good, water prrof, and secure, i can leave the helmet, gloves goggles etc as long as i need, the strap goes through the sleeve of my jacket, and through the knee pads, keeps it all on the bike when hiking away in the scrub, also i use it in the back packers etc to keep other gear secure, around a poll etc. A tip, if i have a dodgy area i will leave the gear local but hiden, more for when i am out on my own and in the hills. Also use a couple of the pac-safes for the soft panniers and it goes over the camping gear as well..
