Useful general touring info.

Came across this South African site which although is African-centric is full of generally-useful stuff. Apols if already been mentioned elsewhere here...

Useful stuff.

One more point to add to the "african" safety rules: Never use an ATM in the place you're going to stay overnight. In Africa the people have lots of time and everybody knows everybody. So it's easy to find out where you're staying for the night, and relieve you of your excess dough...

Pretty good site.. The guy has obviously put a lot of time into it..

Although, if you take all the gear and spares he goes on about, you're going to need a sidecar or a landrover lol
