registering bike in EU???
OK, so i'm looking at doing europe late 2006/2007, i know i need an IDP and Greencard insurance. but as for the bike, do i need to register the bike anywhere else other than my home country of canada? Do i use my regular plates? and does anyone know if its possible to stay longer than a year?? More questions to come, thanks

Your Canadian rego is OK. As for staying longer than a year: depends on whether the bike is recorded on an official document somewhere that you have to show on leaving. I think the bigger problem will be for YOU to stay longer, as you will have an entry stamp in your passport.
Perhaps you can ride out of the EU and back in again, but don't rely on that. You may have to get a new passport outside the EU. ------------------ Salut from Southern France, the bikers' paradise, Peter. |
