Need replacement tyre in Ukraine/Volgograd
Since my spare knobbly rear tyre was stolen last night in Lviv (West of Ukraine) I need to source a new one between here and Volgograd... It was a 130/80/17 Michelin T63, but any knobbly 17"er will do I guess...
Anyone have a lead for me? Anyone have a friend in Volgograd that would recieve a tyre shipped from the UK? Anyone know if I can use the DHL office in Volgograd as the recipient? Any help gratefully recieved. Cheers, Nick Last edited by nickthedesigner; 20 Apr 2008 at 09:20. Reason: incomplete title |

I am sure you will be able to get a suitable tyre in Kiev, Rostov or Volgograd.
These are big cities, albeit separated by larger, remote distances than we are used to. They have all the commerce and recreation activities as elsewhere in Europe - and businesses eager to service those activities. There are motor cycle shops in all these cities as well as tyre outlets, which no doubt can source motorcycle tyres if they do not hold them in stock. At worst one may have to be ordered in from Moscow - allow one or two days for delivery.

thanks guys, got it sorted
Thanks for the replies guys. Oleh from the Ukraine HUBB Community came to my rescue in Lviv, and showed me to a show where I secured a Czech made "Mitas" Enduro tyre. Used it for a few days now in Kazakhstan, and it seems ok, though don't have much frame of reference...
