money belt when swimming

Ok anyone got any bright ideas on where to stash your money belt when your camping and swimming at the beach apart from a hotel safe when by yourself.maybe on the bike with the bike parked at the waters edge or with that nice man that offered to look after it for you?

I normally hide it under my towel, failing that make sure its in something with a good waterproof seal and take it in the water with you.

Hi,

I roll mine up in my socks then pop the socks down the front of my swimming trunks and then Strut along the beach impressing the ladies like John Travolta, along with my chest wig long hair and shaved nipples.

Or you could stash it under your towel.

Ever seen those false cans for storing documents, look just like your exhaust, except you mount them on a single exhaust bike. Lockable, water and dust proof great for smuggling across borders etc

Good tip Lee, sounds like your picking up some italian beach habits! for double security and 'extra impact' I might try that with a false exhaust... just need to find speedos big enough

Does anyone know if there is a manufacturer for these false cans or is it a do it yourself job ?

They are (or were) made by Caribou luggage in the states (- Caribou Luggage, AdventurePipe Exhaust & More), can't find the details on their site though.

The caribou ones are designed to go on a f650 or similar and look great. They natch, both have allen key retained ends, one of which you can undo to access the inner compartment.

You could make your own, but to look convincing it will have to look the same as your 'live' can. If your current can is a bit old you could get a new one, gut the old one, weld up the inlet end, cut off the back, weld a bracket in the end and one in the can and fix the can with a bolt accessed through the exhaust outlet. This would have the advantage of your fake can looking worn, heat damaged etc.

Depending on your bike I might have some spare cans I could part with, but they are from an actual PD bike so are deafening, and I kind of want to put them on my V-twin so I can get an ASBO....... You might be able to get an old can off an exhaust specialist, raven racing in Sheffield are ace.

Thanks Henry.
I do actually want it for an F650 and my current fitted exhaust is one side only so I do have the old spare can from the other side that I no longer use.
I'm sort of halfway there really although I would prefer one that's ready to go ideally.
But thanks for your help, you've given me a lead to work from.

Tell me about it, by the time I left Italy I was on 50 espressos a day, drove like I had a mental disorder and hit on every waitress I met.... I was only there for 4 days

OMG I so hit on the waitress's now I don't leave a tip just my telephone number. My Drivings actually getting better, but it's only because I'm trying to keep up with everyone else on those frakkin scooters.

While on the subject of sticking things in one's bottom, Think it was Pulp Fiction with Cris Walken and the Gold Watch Ouch I p*ss myself watching that one everytime.

Yeah, do they TURBO those things or what? same here in Spain, 50cc scoot with a FREAKIN HUGE twisty exhaust, sounding like a hornet on speed, and in town they scream past you at 90-100kmh... Insane!

"he died, of dysentery" classic script....

I got much worse plagues of scooter kids in Greece than in Italy. Not hard to beat off the line but ballsy in heavy traffic.
