nnever done forks with superglue, twin pack epoxy yes....
 
do as above but use twin pack epoxy like araldite, ( i like the RAPID, sets in 10 mins, but prefer to let it wait for 30-45 mins) then i use a sanding block and 600 grit, then 1000, then 1200. grit.
Fit new fork seals, then gaiters, JOB DONE.
