Talking how to travel wit out having to bring extra cloths!

here's a little trick when I'm away for under a week, down bring extra cloths.
and longer you only need one change!
smartwool light weight tshirts with the sleeves cut off- never smell never show dirt, when you wash it you'll be amazed at how dirty it really was!
same with socks, smartwool lightweight and black if you can find them.
exfisio (or how ever it's spelled) undies, wash them in the shower (also work well as a wash cloth) then wring out after the shower and put back on they dry in no time!
also the wool socks and shirt arn't cold and don't feel icky when you put them on wet...
FYI I'm in thailand, so take that into acount,, wouldn't want to try this somewhere where it's snowing!!

Wet jocks

I was with you 'til you said "wring them out and put them back on to dry". Try this one, put the wet jocks over the mirror stalks they dry very quickly in the wind. And it looks a treat, a mobile clothes line.

Loxsmith,
That was hillarious :-) I mean put your undies on mirror stalks:-)

We used to have rallies on independence day , and then go around the city with the national flag on the bike.
Just thinking of how a rally would look like with all colors of jockeys and Panties on the bikes :-) LOL

Red Bull
And You are right I can imagine them drying very quickly:-)

Pic to prove it!

I will dig out a pic I have that will make you all laugh, in a carpark I used the bike for a clothes line while I went and quenched my thirst in a bar. When I got back the items had been blown off by the wind and were all over the place.

Hey Red Bull are you going to the HU meeting in Feb?

@ loxsmith ,, BTW wats ur real name?

Hey Red Bull are you going to the HU meeting in Feb?

Would love to except for the fact that I do not have a bike here right now ( :-( My bullet is still back in my friend's place in India)and I don't own a car. I just got a job 2 months ago and would have to rely on public transport to get there and back, so I am still thinking.

I mean I would love to , Maybe I will post a thread in the Aussie forum , asking for a lift to the meeting location from Melbourne :-)

Looks like I will be there with a new bike, just ordered a DL1000 with Staintune pipes. Could take some getting used to the horsepower drop though. My bike will be the one with the jocks on the mirrors, should be easy to spot.

Oh, and the names Glen!

here's a some info about smart wool:

SmartWool... the name says it all. Take all the natural qualities of wool - like its ability to regulate temperature and resist odors - and remove the itch! How smart is that? SmartWool uses only the softest, strongest and whitest merino wool from specially selected sheep in New Zealand. It’s that fine merino wool - with a far lower micron range (less coarse) - that gives SmartWool its unique, un-wool-like softness! Oh, and did we mention SmartWool products can go right into your washer and dryer? And they do so without shrinking! SmartWool socks and base layers regulate your body’s temperature naturally to keep you warm on the slopes or cool on the trail. The fibers actually move moisture faster and resist odors better than synthetics. SmartWool has completely revolutionized the way people think about wool by capturing all of wool’s natural strengths... and leaving the itch behind.

but I'm sure you can find much cheaper merino wool products out there
but really the stuff is great! dosn't seem to last as long as outher fabrics but that may be just because I use my smart wool items it so often.

about the undies on the mirror.. I just imagin your nice clean manties splaterd with bugs!! ha.

When I came back from the NorthCape this summer, I had a lot of rain and when I had a dry day, I tied my wet clothes on my luggage so they could dry in the wind. Worked fine for me.

Ah that's better I feel normal now knowing others do it! See it's not just me, don't knock it 'til you try it.

I like Coolmax undercrackers myself - lightweight, breathable and dry very quickly. if you can get to a laundrette they will come out of the washing machine virtually dry! it's expensive but worth the investment i think, just don't go leaving them on a tree

Try the 'Jockey Performance' undies (only make them for men) - bloody brilliant - wash in the shower and dry in no time (especially on the handlebars!!!!!).

Me too Glen ;-)

A few years back on the A30 in Devon I lost a pair of jocks that were clamped to my crashbars. Anyone seen 'em?
