Do not hesitate to sell your bike if you get a decent offer in Argentina or Chile.
 

Hey guys, I have been trying to sell my bike in Argentina and Chile and I got a decent offer in Northern Argentina from a judge that my mechanic knew. I thought that the money in the big cities would be better but it has not been. There are huge problems for the new owner to legalize the bike and unless they have a lot of friends in the police/aduana like a judge would it is not profitable to buy the bike.

I really wanted to sell the bike and finish the trip to Ushaia by bus because my bike has been having so many breakdowns (F650 2001). Now I am broken down needing new engine gaskets in Southern Chile and I am really regretting not selling the bike when I had the chance. It is so damn expensive to break down in a foreign country.
