Brilliant local tour guide in Uganda
I wanted to share details of Joe, a local Ugandan guy we met in Kisoro. He's one of the most genuine guys I met on the whole trip, and such a breath of fresh air compared to the normal hassling "tour guides" you get swamped by, who have no knowledge of anything to do with the tour, no comprehension of personal space and are just trying to get as much cash out of you as possible.
Joe is an awesome chap, really friendly, knowledgeable and not pushy at all.
Of all the people I met during the 19 months in Africa, he is the only guy who I felt deserved being plugged, and who I felt I wanted to help - so here it is, my attempt at helping him get more business!
I've created a website for him which I'm hoping will get him more business. Please share this with friends going to Uganda, here's a way to help a local family in Uganda without just giving charity to Oxfam or whatever and having your donation spent on a brand new LandCruiser or the Hilton Hotel or whatever!
The website is www.experience-uganda.com
He can arrange gorilla permits, tours to Murchison Falls, Jinja, Queen Elizabeth National Park, Chimps, Bwindi, pygmies, etc.
Please help me help this guy!
