Don't know about camping gas availability, but are you aware that MSR sells cookers that will run on diesel and petrol? Might be a solution?

We ran these cookers in Australia for three months no problems, on unleaded petrol: MSR - Mountain Safety Research : Stoves : XGK EX

Nice website by the way

Cheers matt,

We have a single burner Diesel cooker, Peak stove, Primus like the wisperlite as well as the gas cooker so are spoilt.

Its just nice and conveniant to use the gas as the wife is scared of the others LOL.

The website was designed by our friend Alex Ransome who is toying with the idea of starting a small buisness designing and providing an update service.

He is going to update the site as we travel, I will just email him the updates and he will sort it out. Hes a good lad (bit of a geek lol)

Red face Gas

Hi Andy
You can get camping gas all over Europe, camp sites, stores and nearly allways marinas, as boats use it, even outside europe.
But it is now VERY expensive, in fact a rip off. Take a standard calor gas cylinder, with an adaptor so it can be filled through a 13 mm pipe, most places can deal with this, and you only have to find out where the local supplier is.
Bruce.

I cant understand why bike travellers carry anything else than a Coleman Sportster duel fuel.

Runs on the same fuel as your bike and it top quality !!

Im still certain that liquid fuel is much easier to find that gas in any part of the world.
