altitude

Is anybody has experience about motorbike running in high altitude condition ( +4500 meters ) ? I know that my Triumph Tiger 955i will not run as well as on sea level, but I don't want to push it no more!!

no problem

Last year I traveled the same road in Tajikistan with a group of other travelers. We drove Transalp's, Africa Twin's and BMW GS's (the old ones). We didn't have to adjust anything except for low revs (if you know what I mean) but it was a one-minute job. Motorcycles did have less power but we traveled up to 110km/h on tarmac sections (actually there are quite a few of them up on the plateau). Expect to use 80-octane gasoline. Our motorcycles did not complain about it.

Good luck,
Kris
