What are they worth (alpos panniers and Swmoto rack)

So my new panniers are almost done.

I am not sure yet (as they may be usefull to keep) but I am thinking about sell my alpos boxes with Swmotech quick rack (for an Africa Twin RD07A). The Rack has been modified so the boxes sit a few centimeters lower, and also have had spacers put in to they sit 25mm wider (both of these can be undone as they are only bolted). The rack is in good condition the screw joints' paint is scartched and there is a charred mark where my raised end can scortch the paint. The Boxes have a small dent in the side of one and a large scratch where the box came loose and rubbed against the rack.

SO I AM NOT LOOKING FOR "I"LL TAKE THEM" OFFERS, (SO Dont Offer!! I will ignor any offers until I am ready to sell, and you will not be considered first in line!!...), IAM ONLY INTERESTED IN KNOWING WHAT THEY MAY BE WORTH
. Simply put if the boxes are not worth the money selling I will keep them and modify them to fit my XTZ back in OZ. Eventually the Rack will be for sale..

hell, I've no idea what they'd be worth. But I'm looking for something similar (metal boxes and rack), and I'm thinking of spending about £250-300 for them (I hope).

Don't know if that's useful?

Hi Xander,

Not sure about the rack (my Touratech rack cost £200 new if that helps). My Alpos boxes cost £160 the pair plus a bit for the mounting hardware. I guess a set in good nick, but not pristine would be worth up to £100. Although if you were going to sell the rack, this might be £120 because of the relevant mountings? This is just a wild estimate though.

Matt
