For Sale: Caberg Ego -White - L - Chile (Maule or Santiago)

Hi all,

I recently bought a brand new Cadberg Ego from Santiago. The helmet is fantastic and you can see more information here. The Helmet is basically brand new and I´ve only used it a few times. The reason I am selling is because it is unfortunately too large for my head! I rushed the buying process (and obviously now regret it), and having now worn it and researched what a good fitting helmet should feel like, have realised for the sake of safety it needs to go! It is without a scratch, will sell it for 90.000 (cost 130.000 new), can drop off to Santiago on weekend or Tuesday for 5k extra, but you would obviously need to commit to buy it! Welcome to try it on first, if you make it down here, I live in Curico.

I would take it back to the dealer and see what they would do for an exchange.
They may surprise you.

You made a common mistake. Many try on a helmet in the shop and it feels really nice! But the fact is (as you learned) a brand new helmet should fit a bit SNUG at first. What happens is after a month or less of riding in it everyday, it loosens up quite a bit ... and should mold perfectly to your head ... if your head is the "type" for that helmet shell. (another story)

So a helmet that fits very comfortably when new .... may be flopping around on your head in a month or less. If it's HOT and your sweating a lot it will loosen up more quickly.

Hope you can find something that works. Very nice helmet! Good review there!

Thanks Molly, I expected that since it was used they would just say its my fault for not picking the right size. I guess there is no harm in trying, I'll call them up next week.
