Hey guys, I recently purchased a large inventory of Akuma helmets. They are an American owned company that was started by a former marine and navy man. They make a variety of stylish full faced helmets. Many of their models use a patented built in charging system that powers an LED map light in the front and 2 built in rear visibility lights in the back. The lights can be used for about 2 weeks before the helmet needs to be recharged with the provided charger for 3 hours.


The helmets are DOT & ECE 22-05 Certified. The open faced helmets are very popular right now, but please keep this photo in mind before you decide to buy one:


Unfortunately the chin locking devices on open faced helmets are a weak point that often breaks in forward impact crashes. Breaking your jaw is incredibly painful and once you have done it once it is something that you are careful not to do again.

Description: The Phantom II is a featherweight 1367 grams in the size XL shown here, and for those of you who think weight doesn't matter, believe me -- once you wear a helmet this light, anything else feels like tying a cinder block to your head!
It's amazing how different it feels to turn your head side to side without the momentum that results from extra mass of helmets weighing up to 500 grams more. It's a completely different feeling when riding. Yet the shell feels about as stiff or stiffer than any other full-face helmet I've handled. Subjective, yes, but confidence boosting for sure.
